Cú Chulainn's Lament is traditionally animated in the sense that it was all hand drawn and digitally painted with a graphic tablet pen. What you see here is the trailer which has screened at festivals in Holland, Ireland, Scotland, Canada, Italy, USA, France to date..). The soundtrack includes music from Nox Arcana (USA), Cruachan (IRL) and Dead Can Dance Tribute (ITL).
'In this epic saga the mighty warrior Queen Aoife takes revenge on the hero Cú Chulainn by tricking him into slaying his only son'.
This lamentable story is derived from the medieval Irish text 'Aided Oenfer Aoife' (The death of Aoife's only son).
Also worth mentioning is that I adapted this film into a graphic novel and is currently in production.
